Governing Values:

I have three core values for governing that will guide my decision-making on the City Council. These are the basis for a government that keeps the people front and center.

Clarity: Every decision should be understandable and accessible. Citizens deserve to know how and why things happen. The benefits and downsides should be made visible. You can’t decide if we’re doing a good job or not if we don’t lay out exactly what we’re trying to accomplish with each decision.

Justice: Truth and fairness must be built into every policy and budget. We owe it to our community.

Follow-through: Ideas mean nothing without execution.

At the Core:

“Who benefits?”

Every issue, every vote, every dollar should be looked at through this lens. If the answer isn’t the people of Ogden, it’s time to rethink.
