HEATH SATOW
FOR OGDEN
CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 3
Ogden should be a place where
you know what’s going on,
growth makes sense,
and the people who already live here come first.
I believe in a government that listens, acts responsibly, and doesn’t forget who it serves.
A message to all our supporters:
The (preliminary) final vote count is in, and we caught up a little, but not quite enough. While it wasn't the outcome we worked for, I'm filled with gratitude. We came up just 147 votes short (4% of the vote), but the whole process was incredible and humbling. I have learned so much along the way.
I have congratulated Council Member Ken Richey on his victory and thank him once again for running a clean, honest campaign. Something we could use more of these days. I wish him the very best as he continues to serve our city.
To my friends, volunteers, and every single neighbor who supported this campaign with your time, your donations, your energy, and your vote: thank you. I am deeply and truly proud of the positive, issues-focused race we ran together.
What I said on Election Night remains true: the higher than normal voter turnout is something everyone in Ogden can be proud of. That kind of civic engagement is what makes our community strong, and I am encouraged by it.
This campaign may be over, but my commitment to this city is not. I will continue to show up for Ogden. After so many years of closely following the city council, I’ve pledged to help the new council members in any way I can as they begin to do the important work ahead.
Thank you to everyone that still believes that showing up, focusing on what matters, and asking “Who benefits?” continues to be important. It is.
For now I gotta get back into the studio, back to making sculpture, but you'll see me soon.
With deepest thanks, Heath
